Improper eating habits of
kids may well affect their nutri-
tion and digestion - Ding Ding
has completely lost interest in
eating, possibly due to: (1) Food
being served is not easily digest-
ible by the young kid, e.g., for
those less than 3 months old,
change gradually from fluid to
semi-fluid food, e.g., rice water,
puree to thick congee, etc.; for
those up to 2 years old, soft rice,
bread may be tried along with
other supplementary food - all
these should be well cooked,
chopped into fine pieces or in
porridge form as required; for
those aged 2-3 years, food may
be less shredded; nevertheless,
whole pieces of vegetables,
beans and peanuts are too risky;
(2) As kids may well like newly
introduced food, do it gradually
to avoid over-eating; (3) After 4
months, a mixed diet is gradu-
ally introduced, with, e.g., fish,
meat, eggs, vegetables, fruits,
etc. - more nutritious and less
monotonous. Fixed meal times
to make eating a "conditioned
reflex" action; cut down on be-
tween-meal nibbles; concentrate
on the meal - avoid watching TV
or videos while eating; even
minimal involvement of kids on
food preparation helps; no scold-
ing at meals - make meal times
enjoyable!

“吃飯的時間到了!”
當媽媽興高采烈地把一盆盆菜端到桌上時,兒子丁丁卻托著
下巴,對飯菜毫無興趣,任憑媽媽怎樣好說歹說,丁丁就是不想
吃,不肯吃,勉強吃一口,還要吐出來。
也許你的孩子也有類似的吃飯經歷,或許你也試了很多方法
卻不見大的成效。不用擔心,讓專家一起來幫你的孩子找找問題
的根源,並解決它。
消化不良的3 大誘因
原因1:給的食物不太易消化
由于嬰幼兒的消化能力差,父母要針對孩子的年齡特點,給
孩子吃能消化吸收、願意接受的食品。一方面,父母要根據孩子
不同的年齡特點,飲食逐漸由流質向半流質(如米湯、糊狀食品、
稀飯)以及固體食物(如軟飯、面包等)轉變。3個月內的嬰幼兒,其
消化液與成人不同,對澱粉的消化比較差,需要特別注意。而對
于2歲以下的嬰幼兒,所添加的副食品,一定要爛、細、軟,比
如,可將青菜切碎,弄爛,做成菜泥。而對于2-3歲的嬰幼兒,因
為已經有16-20顆乳牙,食品可以稍微粗一點。同時,像整顆的瓜
子、豆子、花生米、果凍這些食品對于嬰幼兒都十分危險,可能
會被吞到氣管裡,所以必須小心,要磨成粉,弄碎了才能吃。
原因2:給太多新的食物
比如:有的孩子第一次吃蝦,覺得味道很好,就一下子吃許
多,結果造成消化不良。因此父母在讓嬰幼兒嘗試吃一種新的食
物時,要讓他慢慢適應。一次量不能給太多,要逐漸地增加,讓
孩子有個適應的過程。
