Serenity Breeds Longevity
Worrying, impatience, anger and jealousy, etc., are not conducive to longevity. We should cultivate an open mind, be content and feel
free. Classical literature emphasizes that kindness will be rewarded – the best is longevity. Be “cool” and low key – best for the soul.
Never point your fingers at others but yourself – the secret of inner happiness and the gist of religions. Only when we can purge our
soul can we ever feel our lives are being changed and can now turn over a new leaf. All sicknesses remind us that there is something
wrong with us. Not many people understand that the body is the mirror of the soul, let alone the necessity of wiping the mirror
regularly. Better treat our diseases at their root rather than symptomatically. Life is but a passage on Earth. It is best to take all things
easy; after all, life is but a drama and not worthwhile to be too critical. Learn to take it easy! 2000 years ago, Confucius taught us to
avoid the extremes – it is the fundamental attitude of good life. Christianity emphasizes repentance; Confucius, self reflection thrice
daily. If we can really repent regularly, our lives would certainly change for the better. Practice makes perfect!
