Cigarette Filters Are Questionable
The cigarette smoke contains at least a few hundred harmful chemicals, of these, 40-50 are strong carcinogens, e.g., tar and
nitrosamines. Recently, scientists discovered the cigarette smoke has lethal radioactive polonium that is well-known to cause
lung cancers. Although, for obvious reasons, tobacco companies are trying their very best to cover up, for each year, an
estimated 1% of all lung cancers in the US, or, 11,700 deaths in the world are linked to radioactive polonium. Moreover, the
effectiveness of cigarette filters is actually questionable: as short filters cut nicotine by only 9.93%, long filters, by 43.28%; the
worst is other harmful substances are paradoxically higher, e.g., after filtration, carbon monoxide rose by 30-40%. In a cancer
research institute in Buffalo, New York, USA, John Pauly found tiny, glistening rod-like particles in lung tissues of lung cancers
patients after surgery. Coming from cigarette filters, these particles would stay permanently in the lung tissues. Eventually,
malignant changes may ensue. Clearly, cigarette filters are not as safe as smokers are led to believe. For the sake of your health
and the welfare of your family, quit smoking immediately!
