Jottings on the Transformation of Cancer Patients
Our National Cancer Registry showed that cancer incidence rates among the middle age have doubled in 20 years; the corresponding
death rates have also increased substantially. According to Prof Zhi XiuYi of the Capital Medical Sciences University, of those dying
from malignancies, 1/3 were due to the malignancy being too aggressive and the growth far too rapid for any effective treatment.
Another 1/3 died from over-treatment, e.g., too aggressive use of chemotherapy agents, e.g., cyclophosphamide, bleomycin,
vincristine, etc.; although these do kill the malignant cells, various normal cells are also killed, e.g. one marrow cells: anemia / low
white blood cells ensue, leading to low immunity, subsequent infections and even septicemia; liver and kidneys cells: organ failure
ensue. Here, TCM may help to boost the general wellbeing and the immunity. Another 1/3 died because of undue fear and depression:
they lost the faith and courage to fight on and become very depressed: the appetite and sleep are both affected: general wellbeing and
immunity would decrease substantially! Be more positive; resort to annual health checks to nib cancers in the bud!
