避免到國內飯店吃東西,盡可能
光顧信譽好、有口碑的食店,應盡量避免光顧街邊
檔和小型大牌檔。同時,應避免吃麻辣火鍋、水煮
Gutter oil: Another Shock in the Food Safety Trade
In China, around 10% of eateries use “gutter oil” by illegally processing kitchen wastes, by filtering, sedimentation, heating, distilling
and separation into a look-alike cooking oil, except for the pungent smell. Others even use rotten animal parts to process – all without
brand nor manufacturing names nor expiry dates. The main ingredient is triglyceride but plus many pathogenic and carcinogenic
poisons, especially aflatoxin, a potent carcinogen. Long-term consumption of “gutter oil” leads to subnormal development, gastro-
enteritis, liver, heart and kidney diseases. Kitchen waste decomposes, oxidizes and disintegrates into various toxic chemicals; bacteria,
fungi and other harmful micro-organisms thrive; detergent and lead cause diarrhea, tummy ache, nausea, vomiting, anemia, toxic
liver diseases, etc., let alone oxidation, hydrolysis and polymerization leading to aldehydes, ketones and lactones production at high
temperatures, not just loss of vitamins and nutrients. The trans-fatty acid and saturated fatty acid contents are high. Ban “gutter oil” that
leads to fatty livers, high cholesterol, hypertension, cholecystitis, gastritis and obesity!
魚、水煮牛肉和用大量油炸的食物,因製
作過程中需要大量食油。雖然,肉眼難分
辨“食用油”與“地溝油”,但細看的話,煎
煮呈透明狀,後者則因含雜質,透明度較
低,部分有沉澱物,或可將油滴在手半上
磨擦,是否有難聞或異味,一有懷疑,立
刻停止進食。一旦在飯店進食後出現了腹
痛、惡心、嘔吐等症狀,一定要在極短時間內到醫
院進行救治,以免對您的身體造成更大的傷害。
