Our population is our asset, but, towards the end of the 20th Century, we had to target the population to be under 1.2 billion. As our
annual rate of congenital malformations and defects of newborns is a startling >4%, quality counts. Avoid marriage between close
relatives: significantly higher chances of having congenital malformations and suboptimal intelligence. Pre-marital physical checks
help – treat any disease(s) before marriage. Optimal timing for conception: mother aged 24-30; father, below 40. Avoid artificial
abortion nor conception after recent emotional turmoils or traumas, or even after periods of severe physical exhaustion. Avoid smoking
and drinking or contact with agricultural insecticides, heavy metals, anesthetics, X-irradiation, viral infections, etc., or within 2 years
after D&C; 6 months after artificial abortion; 1 month after cessation of contraceptive pills, etc. After conception, similar precautions
apply, let alone good nutrition and no medications unless prescribed, especially during the first 5-8 weeks; even passive smoking is
avoided. Above all, employ contraception scientifically, as advised by family planning specialists; hearsay has no place!
