As doctors often lack psychological and mental healthcare or disease prevention inputs, the Nation’s healthcare suffers. In turn, quacks
sell life nourishing products and publications; propaganda through TVs misled the people. They masquerade as medical or nutritional
experts, with fake qualifications; their publications are misleading, e.g., advising against conventional therapy even for life-threatening
diseases; claim that green bean can cure a hundred diseases; claim calcium supplements control hypertension: failed to realize many
Chinese have lactase deficiency and unable to tolerate the main source of calcium: milk. Another is a “1-minute” TCM physician: an
obvious violation of TCM’s principle of taking time to observe, hear, smell, interview and palpate. We should strive to promote orthodox
TCM! Common food items are not magic potions; the vast majority of the listing in the Compendium of Materia Medica are not food.
Brush up your general knowledge and be analytical: longevity is through balanced diets without overeating nor overwork, appropriate
physical exercises and avoiding stress: maintain tranquility!
