As an apparently degenerated part
of
the gut,
l,
the "appendix" have been regarded as a kind of useless
residual
in
the
body.
The worst
was,
I
may even give
rise
to serious trouble
at
times, when
I
become infected
-
appendicitis
that
requires immediate surgery. Many surgeons used
to consider
removing me even when
performing other abdominal
operations! Located
in
the
right lower
corner
of
the abdomen,
I
live next
to
my
big
brother,
the colon to which
I
am connected but
I
represent a blind
end.
This, together with my
narrow
passage, may occasionally entrap hardened feces or collection
of
parasite

ensues
and
I
have
to
be removed surgically. ln fact, despite
the

I
am rich

lymphatic tissues and am responsible for part
of
the
body immunity. The lymphatic cells are part of the army
for defense. Thus,

have now been listed as part
of
the body's immune system and my nickname
is "the
adenoid
of
the gut".
I
also
have
cancer preventing properties
-
a
US
study on
a
few hundred gut cancer
patients
found

these

ever
had their
appendix removed.
Moreover,
I
also
provide
biological
material with
the
highest
success
rates
for repairing
urinary
tract
injuries or
congenital
malformations.
As
I
am
