IMMUNITY ENHANCED
The body's immunity is
multi{aceted
and is responsible for killing
the
invading viruses and bacteria. The
mechanism
is a
combination
of
the thyroid, adenoids,
lymph
nodes, spleen, bone
marrow and white cells.
The skin and mucosa also
form
part
of an
important system
of
immune mechanisms. For
maximum
enhancement,
take
a well-balanced diet that contains fruits,
vegetables
and garlic:
a
natural
antibiotic.
Milk
helps digestion, due
to
its beneficial lactobacillus. Avoid excessive sugars and desserts as
they
would sup-
press your
immunity.
Abstain from smoking and excessive drinking. Cabbage has abundant vitamin
C
-
not
only a good anti-oxidant but also has
cancer
prevention properties. Vegetable and fish oils are good, espe-
cially
for replenishing the body's fatty acids. Shelled sea food
is
rich
in zinc
-
enhances white cell production
and suppresses virus
groMh.
Vitamins
A
and C increase our resistance
to
flu
but
very strong sunlight may
kill
white cells and cells that initiate immunological response. Keep your mind at ease
-
undue tension hinders
production of cells
for
immunity; develop
job
satisfaction
-
work-related negative effects do atfect your
immunity. Apart
from getting
rid of
tiredness
and
strains,
regular massage
prevents
blockage
of
lymphatics
that has much
to
do
with
immunity. Above
all,
remember
the
usual fresh
air,
adequate sleep, enough water,
and exercises, e.9.,
frequent
brisk walking for
45
minutes each time.
