alleviated
by
reduction of mild obesity. Other
consequences
of
overt obesity
have
been
seriously discessed.
Obesity
is
commonly
as-
sociated
with
fatty infiltration
of
the
liver
and coronary
heart
dis-
ease.
Also,
obesity
may
be
a
common
accompaniment
of
gallstones
and
chronic
pul-
monary
insufficiency.
The
as-
sociation
of
obesity
with
serious disorders should stimu-
late
physician
to do
everything
in
their
power
to
acquaints
with
these facts and
to
be willing to
encourage
and
supervise
a
long-term, rational approach to
the
problem.
