Does “Human Placenta Extracts” Really Have Rejuvenating Effects?
Human placenta extract injections are said to have protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, etc.; hailed for anti-aging, collagen
formation and immunity, etc. – without scientific proof. Hyaluronic acid is also hailed for skin creases by filling in the loose skin and
retaining moisture. Despite inexpensive production, an injection costs $50,000! Our Ministry of Health and State FDA has not permitted
such injections and no public hospitals are practicing it. Take note: these injections may have allergic reactions, transmit viral hepatitis
infections and even AIDS. Some providers play safe by injecting only saline – of course, at the same price! In Japan, such injections
are taken very seriously, e.g., excellent quality control; careful pre-injection physical examination and critical selection of subjects;
meticulous prescription according to individual parameters; delivery only by well-qualified medical professionals; strict exclusion of
micro-organism contaminations; post-injection observation, etc. Yet, as this technology is still immature, it is prudent to accept the
natural process of aging instead of experimenting with the unproven injections!
