DNA (deoryribonucleotide acid)
is

sidered
the
primary repository of
ge-
netic
information.

contains coded in-
formation for the synthesis
of
the cellu-
lar proteins, which determine the
cell
structure and
function.
Mammalians,
including humans, DNA is
localized
primarily in
chromosomes in
the
nu-
cleus.
A change
or
mutation in DNA
may result
in
an incorrect amino acid
in
protein.
Pathophysiologically, many
hereditary diseases,
and
initiation and
subsequent development
of a cancer,
are due
lo
such kind of
changes
in
DNA.
The
understanding
of the
possible
consequencies of errors in DNA, which
may
result
in
alterations
in
the
normal
physiological and biochemical behavior
of a normal protien and then
a
cell are
