problems
in
modern society.
The
main
reason a person drinks
excess-
ively
is
due
to
psychologic
problems,
and
often
he
is
aware
that such action will
lead
to
physical
injury
to
himself and
cause irreparable harm
to
his
family.
The exact
number
of
alcoholics
is not
known
in
Ghina. Based
on the
data
of
4
surveys conducted
among
professional populations
in
9
cities in 1992, the
ap-
proximately
estimated
number
of
alcoholics
is
surprisingly
about
37.27o/o.
Alcohol,
after being
ab-
sorbed from
the
stomach
and
intestine,
is
chiefly carried
in
the
plasma and
enters the vari-
ous organs
of
the body,
as well
as the
spinal
fluid,
urine,
and
pulmonary alveolar
air.
Major
metabolism
of
alcohol
is
ac-
complished
in
the
liver,
where
alcohol dehydrogenase
oxidize
alcohol to
acetaldehyde
resulting
in
nausea,
vomiting,
hypotension,
and
pronounced
may even
be
fatal.

alcohol
impairs almost all organs
of
the
body. The
sociologic
problem
comprises
the
effect
of
sus-
tained
inebriety
on
the
family
and
community.
The
various
problems raised
by
excessive
drinking cannot
be
separate
from one
another.

with
all
sides
of
the
subjects.
