Systemic lupus erythematosus
(SLE)
is
an
auto-immune
disease.
It
happens
more often
in
young
females aged
between fifteen
to
thirty-five.
SLE
usually endangers
many organs
of
the body,
es-
pecially
skin
and kidney.
The
cause
of
SLE
is
still unknown,
and
its
cl
i n
ical
sym
ptoms
a
re
m
u
ltiple.
With the early diagnoses and
improved therapy,
the
prognosis
of
SLE
becomes
optimistic recently.
The
10-yr
survival
rate
is
about
90%.
Glucocorticosteroids
are
mainly
used.
