fifteen
blood-type systems
have
hitherto
been
identifited. ABO blood-type system
is
the most commonly
used
clinically,
which
has
four
blood
types: A,
B,
AB and
O.
Each
type
is
made
up
of
two
genes coming
from
the parents
respectively.
Blood type heredity
is of
regular certainty.
A
blood
type test
can
sometimes negate the
blood relation
between father and his
child
or
mother and
her
child,
but
it
cannot
affirm
the
blood
relations
among
both
parents
and their child.
The discovery
of
human
leucoiytic
antigen
(HLA)
has made
the
identification
of
blood
relations
easier.
