As humans, we are often dissatisfied. According to the TCM physicians, most diseases arise from "dissatisfaction", especially
when the emotion is prolonged - peptic ulcer, hypertension and psychiatric illnesses. Try channeling away our dissatisfaction:
(1) Express it: crying helps a lot - a protective mechanism; other ways like beating up people or furniture are not appropriate;
(2) Cool down first and to control yourself, then disclose it to your intimate friends or relatives; even writing to them for helps;
(3) Sublimation methods: using willpower, determination and rational thinking, even grief may sublimate into strength for
working and learning; unfavourable stimulations are thus avoided; (4) Diversional tactics: if required, avoid related, strong
environmental stimulations - go for concert, dancing, swimming or other sports and ball games to relieve the nerves or watch
a humourous show or movie; even reading comedy novels or magazines helps; (5) Escape methods: when down, try walking
away from town or take a short trip for a change; the problem may appear less serious. Above all, avoid smoking, getting
drunk or over-eating - these worsen your health.
