depth without ceasing. All
his
students
are
treated
like his
own
relatives.
He
is
very
concerned
about
the disparity between learning and
practice
-
as even those
very
highly
educated
bachelors,
masters and doctorates are often not proficient
clinically. He believes
that
every
TCM practitioner should
study
Shang
Han Lun very thoroughly. He is adamant that
the
educational system
for
TCM
must
be
revolu-
tionized otherwise the future
of
TCM
is bleak. Premier
Zhou
Enlai
once remarked that,
"if
we do not promote
the
education
on
TCM
ourselves, one day we
would
have
to go oversea
to
learn
TCM!'As
TCM
has unique
contributions to
the patient,
Prof
Ji
is determined to foster
TCM education
so that
future
generations would
recognize the vital
role
of
TCM.
He
does
not
object
to
Western medicine but he believes more
in
TCM.
These
are two distinct entities and would demand mutual respect.
