CANCER FIGHTER: T-CELLS
T-lymphocytes
that
account for
70-80%
of
the
lymphocytes
in
the
blood, have a long life of
up
to
4
years.
However,
their number,
especially the
suppressor T-cells, diminishes
with
the age
of
the
person.
This results
in
excessive secretion
of
antibodies
by
the
B-cells and these would attack, by mis-
take, the
body
tissues
- the auto-im-
mune phenomenon or else result
in a
state
of
diminished immunity, an age-
ing
process.
Cancer, commoner
in
the
elderly,
is
also closely
related
to
re-
duced activilies
of their
T-lymphcytes.
Daily physical exercises can increase
the proportion
of
T-lymphocytes.
Many
traditional
Chinese herbs
can
also
stimulate
Tlymphocyle function.
Even
vitamin
E
can enhance the vitality
of
T-
lymphocytes.
Nucleic acids
that
are
abundant
in
chicken, beef, pork,
liver,
sardines and other
sea
food can also
enhance the immune
function.
ln
some
overseas countries,
it
was proposed
to
freeze T-lymphcytes taken at age of 20
and keep it for
20
years
so
that
en-
hancement of T-lymphocytes 20 years
later can be achieved.
