How to Eliminate Your Pot Belly?
With our affluence, obesity is common, especially among 30-50 year olds of which 70% have pot bellies. Due to increased fatty layer
and lax tum muscles, pot bellies are from indulgence in unhealthy food and excessive drinking coupled with lack of exercises. The waist-to-
buttock measurement ratio is as important as the blood pressure and cholesterol levels and should be 0.85-9. Compared with other fatty
tissues, fatty tissues at the belly may easily enter the blood stream in the form of free fatty acids to reach the liver. With accumulation of free
fatty acids in the liver, these become converted into low-density lipoprotein (LDL), reaching the heart, lung and arteries; some LDLs are also
converted into low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL or "bad" cholesterol). Avoid excessive drinking and overeating, especially deep fries,
chocolates and desserts; tummy exercises need be performed regularly, several minutes a day suffice. Drink water appropriately. Exercise
the body 30 min a day - cycling, jogging, swimming or aerobics, etc.; avoid slimming drugs. Consult your doctor.
