Whereas
food
related
cancer
researches had
paid
emphasis on
the
effect
of
the
carcinogenic composition
in
food
sources
in
the
past, new
informations
have shown that diets have been
closely
linked
to
the
incidence of
cancer.
According to
statistics, 30-40%
of
cancer
in
men
and
60%
of
cancer
in
women
are diet
related. ln
recent years, researches confirm
the
effect
of
diet such as
eating
habits,
dieting, nutritional imbalance
and
food
metabolites
can
indirectly
induce
cancer.
lt
has been known that
nitrosamine and
ceftain fungi
are
related
to
stomach
and liver
cancer.
And
now
researches
further indicate
that
vitamin deficiency
is
related
to
esophagus and stomach cancer,
while
fiber deficiency
is
related
to
colon
cancer.
Also high
fat
diet
is
related
to
breast cancer.
Seven Europeafr countries
have
launched
studies
on
cancer
prospects
to
investigate
the
relationship
betuveen
diet and
cancer
and
the
indentification of food anticarcinogersrs.
The
chairman of the
British Medical Research Committee has
indicated
that
about a third
of
the
cancer incidence
in
Europe
could
be
caused
by
improper
diets.
And according
to a
professor from
the
Cambridge
University
that
fats, alcohols
and
animal
proteins are
contributing factors for
cancer induction,
whereas
fibers,
vitamines
and
unsaturated
fats
have
cancer preventive
effects.
Also
scientists
from
China, Great Britian and
America
have
just
concluded
a
joint
research
on
the relationship between
the
Chinese
diets
and
health
and
diseases.
Early reports indicate
that
the
lowering of
the
incidence
of
colou
cancer
coincides
with the
lowering
of
the
cholesterol level.
And
The
ideal daily diet
should
consist
of
20-309m
of
fiber and should limit fats
to
15%
of
the
total
caloric
intakes.
With
the increase
of
scientific
studies
on
diets, food related
cancer incidences would definitely be on
the
decline.
