Cervical
cancer
is
one
of
the
common malignant tumors
in
women
.
lt
has
a high incidence rate. lf detected
at
early stage, it can
be
treated with favorable
outcome.
Like other tumors, the
etiology
of
ceruical cancer is
still
unclear. But
it
has
been
linked to
the following
factors:

Poor menstrual hygiene:
2.
Early
marriage or coitus
at
an early age;
3.
Multple births;
4.
Promiscuous
or
multiple
sexual
parthners;
5.
lnfection related
to
excessive foreskin
of the male
paftner;
6.
Abrasion
or
laceration of
the
ceruix.
Since
the
development
of
cervical cancer
takes
a
long
time.
lt
includes stages
of
precancerous
lesions and carcinoma
in
situ of the
ceruix.
Therefore
regular
Pap smear examination
can detect
cervical
cancer
in
its
early
stages.
For
prevention
of
cervical cancer,
take
heed
of
the following:
1.
Practice
good
hygiene during menstrual
period;
2. Enter
marriage
at
proper
age
and
use
bifth control;
3.
Avoid multiple
pariners;
4.
Have
regular
gynecological
examination;
5.
Consult
with
medical
help
when there
is
excessive
vaginal
bleeding;
6. Treat ceruical
abrasionlesion promptly;
7.
Have
the
excessive foreskin
of
the male
partner reduced to avoid
infection.
