Once,
Mr Lee had intense
itchiness of
his
external genita-
lia along
with
increased secre-
tion and cheesy material
at
the
prepuce
of
his
penis. As

doctor
said he
has
got
a
"gynaecology disease"
it
was
very
hard for
those with
male
chauvinism
like
Mr
Lee
to
swallow.
Nevertheless,
it
was
confirmed
that
Mr Lee
was
ac-
tually
part and partial
of
his
wife's gynecological
condition:
her vagina
was infected
- can-
didiasis
vaginitis.
His
wife's
in-
fection
had
irritated
his penis
causing
the
intense
itchiness,
even though
frank
infection
does
not occur
with him.
Now,
in
1/6 of
women and
1/3 of
preg-
nant
women
the
vagina
is
inhib-
ited
by
various fungi,
vaginal
infections would
thus
occur
whenever
the
normal acidity of
the vagina
is
neutralized
by
too
frequent
douching
of
the
vagina,
allowing those
fungito
multiply. Vaginitis is due
to
in-
fection
of
the
vagina
from
bathtubs,
swimming
pools and
other
sources.
Although
the
husband
does not get
the
infection,
his
urinary
tract
serves as
a
reservoir of
the
wife's re-infection,
it is impera-
tive
to
recognize
this, otherwise
the
wife
will
be re-infected
upon
the
loss of the
vagina's
normal
acidity.
