CURE: ENHANCING
SELF.HEALING
POWER
Hipprocrates taught that
ev-
eryone possesses
an
inborn
power which sustains the body's
functioning
in
time
of
health
-
dis-
ease was a disturbance
of
natu-
ralfunctioning
and
the efforts
of
the
inborn
sustentive
power
or
"physis";
"physicians" signified
those who should assist this self-
healing power
including
the
use
of
medicines. The body's
self-
healing
mechanism
is
relevant
for the
prognosis

diseases.
