Daily
necessities

favorite items
are

within his
easy
reach.
Arrange for
regular

drinking
to
avoid
blood
thickening (risks of clotting),
as
he
may have
impaired
thirst sensation. As rehabilita-
tion takes time, be prepared
psychologically-encou
rage
even
at the
slightest improve-
ment. Exercises must
be
very
regular
and
appropriate
to
the
physical ability
of
the
patient.
Speech therapy is important
for stroke patients.

is
unable
to
speak out despite
full
understanding,
relearn
speaking
like a
child. There
is
no shame

it at all! Others
may be unable to grasp
other
people's spoken words;
his
speech
may also
be
incomp-
rehensible. Exercise regularly
by listening
to
radio
or
watch-
ing
TV programs.
Extra
allow-
ance and due respect
are
the
key
to
success.
Take blood
pressure
regularly and
adhere
to
medication instructions
meticulously.
Above all,
rush
to
hospital with any sign
of
relapse.
