Once, a savings
bank
in China
was
robbed
of
1.1
million
Renminbi.
Both staff
at
the bank,
Mr
Chen and
Ms
Sit
were admitted to hospital
with
head
injuries that
left
2
patches
of
blood on
the
floor.
The
robber was
a
young man
on
a
motor-cycle.
The coroner took
samples
of
the
blood and found
that one
of them
matched Mr Chen's
blood;
however,
the
other patch
that
matched
Ms
Sit's
blood had failed
to
clot. Later,
it
was found
that the
robber's gun was
a
toy gun loaded deliberately with black
dye
to mask the camera. As
the
robber
seemed to know the precise time when
so
much cash passed through that
morning,
an
insider
job
was highly
suspected. lnterrogations
on
the
bank
staff
was aided
by
the intelligent
coro-
ner who discovered
the
patch of blood
was actually menstral blood, as frag-
ments of
the uterine
membrane and
even
mucus from the cervix were found
on microscopic examination. Normally,
menstral
blood never
clots because lluid
blood
would
be much easier
to
be dis-
charged promptly lrom the womb
and
the vagina. Ms Sit conspired with
her
younger brother
(who
was broke after
addicting
to
heroine)
and
plotted the
robbery. However,
she made the
fatal
mistake of spilling menstral blood onto
the floor as bleeding "look-alike".
