A
BRAINTUMOUR
ln this
modern
world,
many
apparently strange incidents
can
happen
and such
messages
are
available
through
rapid data transmis-
sion of
this
world. According
to
the
report,
in
U.S.A., there was
a
patient
with
incurable brain
cancer.
As
the
chance
of
cure was rather slim,
he
was
supposed
to be living his last days.
How-
ever,
the pain was becoming more and
more unbearable and,
in a
dire state of
depression, he used his pistol to shoot
his brain
to
kill himself. He fainted at
once. However,
when
he
woke
up
after
6 days
in
a
hospital,
the
doctors
there
told
him
that the
bullet
actually
had hit
the tumour dead on and, after
that,
it
was feasible to perform an operation
to
take out
both
the bullet and the burnt
tumour.
This most interesting case was
subsequently reported
for
the reference
of
the medical profession. lf history can
repeat itself, one would
have
thought
that
it would be better
to
receive the
benefits of modern neurosurgery
in
the
first place rather than to shoot oneself.
