This
new
centre
is very special
and is multi{unctional.
Not
only it
is a
top-class hotel with all hotel
business
& recreational facilities,
it
also provides
various medical services such
as
medically
concorted
meals and baths,
acupuncture, manipulative
massage,
relaxology,
and intergrated Chinese
&
Western medicine in maintaining good
health.
Professor
Hsu
Wei-Min,
a
brain
surgeon and Assistant
to
the Director
of
Shanghai City Health Bureau,
has
been appointed
to to
be
the
Director
of
the
Centre
and
General Manager
of
the
hotel.
The Centre
has
four
main
components:
(1).
Off
ice
Section,
(2).
Administration
Department,
(3).
Exchange
Department,
(4).
Health Care
Department.
(1)
&(2) are
self-explanatory.
The
Exchange
Dept. handles all communi-
cations, medical exchanges inside and
outside of China, project discussions,
feasibility studies
and
their
implemen-
tation.
The
Health
Care
Dept.
is
in
charge of medical health care, rehabili-
tation and
medical
beauty.
The
Centre
aims
to
concentrate on
the
Fourth
Medical Science, i.e.
to
study
the
secondary health condition of people
as
a
new medical sublect
in
the
21
Century.
lt
will contribute its share to
make Shanghai "The Medical Centre
of
Asial'
