the
classical
Chinese
novel 'Admonitions
for
the
Common
People"
a
poem
"Xijiang
Yueh" is
quoted
as
follows:
"Wine is the
sm6thering
fire;
sex
the
carving
knife; money
the
source
of
jealousy;
and anger
the
smokeless
gunpowder."
The
poem
can
be
interpreted
as
to
indicate that any
sort
of
indulgence may bring
harm
to
man's life
and
is the mortal enemy of longevity.
Likewise
the
origin,
development,
treatment
and
the
post-treatment
conditioh
of high blood pressure
are
closely related to the life
style
a
man assumes.
