BEE STING AS A MAGIC POTION
In Xuancheng, Anhui Province, an elderly Mdm Wang had a stroke with weakness of her right side of her body for years without
improvement. One day, her right leg had a bee sting and she recovered! The Author also had a similar experience of having the
right "frozen shoulder" that had not improved at all with physiotherapy and acupuncture, miraculously cured just one day after a
bee sting. The Author went on to enquire beekeepers on such a phenomenon. They were not surprised, as they never get any
arthritis, most probably because of their frequent bee stings. Some TCM hospitals in China have already started treating asthma,
nerve pain, facial palsies, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (rigid spine) and got rather satisfactory results. In the
Tianjin Municipal No. 3 Hospital and Nankai University., they have tried to isolate bees' anti-rheumatism factors and also tried to
minimize hemolytic and allergenic side effects. In Beijing a TCM Hospital, using bee sting extracts, tens of thousands of rheumatoid
arthritis patients from China and abroad were treated. As therapies by bees' poison has already begun, it appears that this
method has good promise.
