Since ancient times,
the
Chinese herbalists
have cosidered
that
ginseng and
radish
are
not
to be
taken
together.
They view that the
medicinal effects
of
giseng,
which
is
to
invigorate
the
"qi"
(vital
energy), would
be
counteracted
by
that
of
the radish,
which
is
to
release (the stagnation or obstruction
of
)
the
"qi".
There has
been a
lot
of
confusion
in
regard
to
this
matter over
the
years.
To this
