EMOTION
AND
DISEASE
Emotion and diseases
are
closely
related.
A
poor general mood affects
the normal function
of
the stomach and
both digestion and appetite
are
affected.
Agitation stimulates secretion
of
the
hormones of
the
adrenal glands
and these can accelerate
the
heart
beat,
raise
the blood pressure and even
raise
the
level of
fatty acids
in
the
blood.
Even diabetes can also be related to
emotion
-
with
tremendous stress, much
of
the glycogen stored
in
the liver
are
mobilized and
the blood sugar
level
raises
very rapidly (fight or flight)
and
any
sub-optimal insulin secretion would
be
overwhelmed.
Ageing
is
mainly due
to central
nervous
system
degeneration, followed
by
the lack of
optimization
of
hormones,
the blood
and
circulation
systems
as well
as the
immune
system.
lnappropriate
emotional stress can also
lead
to the
lack
of
coordination of
the
nervous
system and
the
immune system
is
adversely
affected. ln
order
to
maintain the best
ol
health, it pays to
develop one's personality and
security
level
by psychological
and
philosophi-
cal
management
and
control
for
the
best benefit to
the
body.
