CANCER
FIGHTING
The treatment of cancer
is com-
plex, and
continues
to
be
difficult
to
achieve
100%
remission
of
the malig-
nancy
for
many
patients.
Our ability
to cure
more of
the patients with can-
cer has
been improved
through
the
use
of
surgical,
radiation,
and
chemotherapeutic
procedures.
How-
ever, side effect such as interference
with vital organ function
by
the surgical
procedure, substantial and
intolerable
reaction
to
antitumor agents
with
chemotherapy, and etc. can signifi-
cantly reduce the effectiveness
of
treat-
ment.
Based on molecular biological
technique, new antitumor agent-cancer
vaccine has been
developed.
The
antitumor
vaccine
may stimulate the
host immune system
to
recognize and
kill the tumor
cells.
Thus,
the
vaccine
therapy creates
a
specific
and
noninvasive method
of
cancer treat-
ment.
