Mr.
Oian
Xinzhong contributes
a
great deal

China's health
care
affairs. He made
outstanding achievements
when
he
was the
Minister of
Health and
Director
of
the
State Family Planning Com-
mission. He
received
The United Nations Population
Award
and
the
Award for
Public Health
of
the
Arthur M.
Sackler Foundation
for the
Arts, Sciences
and the
Humanities. Despite
of
his
advance
age
after
retirement, Mr.
Oian
continues
to
devote
his
time
and
ef'
fort
to
study
and
write
about nation's population problem.
He
publishes several books, and exerts endless energy
to
promote
the
well-being
of
his
motherland.
