“Fate Symphony” of Brian Tan Wee Thean.
Mr. Brian Tan Wee Thean, a student of the famous violinist, Mayumi Fujikawa, has obtained prestigious professional qualifications
from the UK and has been conducting the Kuala Lumpur Performer Arts Centre’s Orchestra, with many performances in South East
Asia. Unfortunately, when he was close to 40, he had cancer of the pancreas with jaundice and pain. Specialists in Kuala Lumpur
and Singapore opined: with cancer spreading to the liver, it was inoperable except for diversion of the bile to relieve his jaundice. His
chemotherapy had severe side effects but without response. High doses of morphine was required for pain. His prognosis was down
to an estimated survival of just 3 months. Prof Xu Kecheng offered a program of cryotherapy with nano-microvascular blockage at
the Fuda Cancer Hopital in Guangzhou; during therapy, he could even go back to Kuala Lumpur to conduct. With further cryotherapy
sessions, even secondary tumours in the liver got smaller; he was off morphine entirely; he also gained 3 Kg since admission to the
Hospital. As this is the “Fate Symphony” of Brian, he wishes to share his experience with all.
